There Solmec Rhodigium Basketball concludes the summer transfer market for the 2024/25 season of LBF Serie A2 with the purchase of Nicole Leghissa. After years characterized by a bad injury, the Futurosa Basket Trieste product is finally ready to get back into the game in Rovigo.
Nicole Leghissa is a 186 centimeter tall player with a rather turbulent recent past. In fact, in 2021 she suffered a torn cruciate ligament which then caused her several problems. Her return to the field took place during the past season after an ordeal lasting more than two years in the match against Udine, thus fulfilling her dream of debuting in Serie A with the jersey of her city with averages of 2.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Before the injury, Leghissa was considered one of the best prospects at the national level: in fact, in 2019, the player from Trieste was called up by the Under 16 team for the European Championships in Skopje (Macedonia), as well as at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku. In Rovigo, the player will be able to return to the center of a project alongside teammates such as Sara Zanetti and the new acquisition Paola Novati.
