MILAN The Milan Prosecutor’s Office has requested the dismissal of the charges of contempt of the armed forces and defamation which had been contested against the well-known rapper Frah Quintale, born Francesco Servideiwhich in 2022, after a concert in Calabriahad posted a photomontage depicting gods on his Instagram profile uniformed policemen “with their faces covered by pig masks” and the writing “If you look at me like that …”. The police union Mosap, who had filed a complaint against the singer, has now filed the deed at the investigating judge office in Milan opposition to the request for archivingreporting, as can be read in the document, that the prosecutor in the request limited himself to believing that «the fact does not exist, or at least that does not constitute a crime». From the very tenor of the complaints, explains the Prosecutor’s Office, «from the vision of the reported photo, attached in print to the complaints, and from the set of photos and posts published on the suspect’s Instagram social media, the unsuitability of the conduct to vilify clearly emerges, and in any case the lack of will in this sense.” He also stated that he also reported that that post was no longer “present on the rapper’s wall: six months after the reported incident, the investigations would be unsuccessful”.
«It is truly incredible that the prosecutor intended to ask for the dismissal despite the judicial police having concluded that the writing was clearly defamatory, amplified by the artist’s notoriety”, stated Fabio Conore, general secretary of the Autonomous Police Trade Union Movement (Mosap).
