After the previews of recent weeks, the sixth edition of the scientific and cultural dissemination festival officially begins this evening Trentino 2060: thinking about the present and imagining the future.
From now Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th June 2024in Piazza Degasperi in Borgo ValsuganaTrentino 2060 will host 13 cultural events with speakers of absolute importance called to discuss the theme of this edition: “Basics: reorienting the future”.
An opportunity to return to asking ourselves those questions necessary to analyze concepts, ideas and events that are usually in the background of public discourse and that sometimes even those who report on current affairs take for granted, but which are fundamental for making informed, autonomous and aware.

The official opening of the event will be entrusted to Henry Giovannini, economist and former minister of labor and social policies in the Letta government and of sustainable infrastructure and mobility in the Draghi government. Giovannini will talk about the relationship between technology and politics.
Friday 28th June will open at 6.30pm with a tribunal of ideas that will see philosophers confront each other Massimo Reichlin And Gianfranco Pellegrino about the aspects that should count in our moral judgments.
At 8.45pm, Max Polydoroone of the most well-known Italian science communicators, will propose a monologue entitled “The wonder of everything” focused on the figure of Piero Angela and his relationship with the questions that underlie our existence.
Saturday 29 June at 10:00, with Sabrina Grazini, the most famous employment consultant on social media, will talk about pay slips. This is one of the two events of a new Trentino 2060 format: “The toolbox”, conferences in which to provide practical tools for everyday life.
At 3.30 pm, we will talk about China and the role of Chinese culture in understanding the foreign policy of the celestial empire, with one of the most famous and brilliant sinologists in the country, namely Giada Messetti. At 5pm, we will talk about inclusive language and the power of words with the sociolinguist Vera Ghenowhile one of the most exclusive events of the 2024 edition will take place at 6.30pm.
The Pennsylvania University professor, Cristina Bicchieri, will talk about social norms and how these constitute the grammar of society. At the end of the intense day on Saturday, at 9.15pm, the famous virologist Ilaria Capua will present a monologue on health and the need to rethink the latter from a circular perspective.
Sunday 30 June will also have some interesting surprises in store: at 10:00 a heated debate is expected on the objectives of the Italian education system between the high school teacher and famous YouTuber Barbasophiaborn Matteo Saudino, and the analyst and vice-president of Liberi Oltre Le Illusioni, Costantino De Blasi.
At 3.00 pm, the second appointment of the The toolbox with format will be held Massimo Taddeieditor-in-chief of the popular social page Economic pills, which will talk about savings management and financial education. At 5pm the journalist and war correspondent Francesca Mannocchi will question what waging war really means, examining the relationship between the political and human dimensions of war conflicts.
At 6.30pm, intergenerational dialogue returns to the center of the Trentino 2060 agora thanks to the intervention of the journalist and radio speaker Matteo Bordone. Grand finale on Sunday at 8.45pm with Stefano Nazzithe most famous Italian podcaster, who will propose a monologue on yesterday’s investigations to understand today’s Italy.
On the various days there will be no shortage of convivial moments, aperitifs, social dinners. All events are free and no reservations are required.
An ambitious program, attentive to both research and the general public, capable of involving both the younger and older generations, thanks to the participation of great personalities of absolute competence. All this makes Trentino 2060 one of the most important and lively cultural realities of the Province.
