Meeting of the Marsala City Council on the afternoon of Wednesday 26 June. The councillor Rosanna Genna returns to focus attention on the problem of “Security”. A topic that we address in another part of the newspaper.
Resolutions of previously withdrawn off-balance sheet debts were examined, a total of 14. All of them, after the individual reports of the President of the Finance Commission Eleonora Milazzo, are approved unanimously by the councilors present in the room. The total approved debts are 23 thousand 319 euros.
We then moved on to financial resolutions. The Prime Minister informed those present that in the morning he had a conversation together with the Secretary General with the Ad Acta Commissioner appointed by the Region for the Budget Domenico Mastrolembo and that the latter, as required by law, has indicated that he will give the Civic Council 5 days from the beginning of the session dedicated to the examination of the financial instrument to proceed with its approval. Otherwise he will take care of it ex officio, replacing the Council. A debate was opened on this communication in which the councilors intervened Piero Cavasino and Leo Orlando with the latter also raising the issue of the PEF that the councilors received only today. “Absurd things that not only limit the mandate of the representatives of the Sala delle Lapidi themselves – he said -, but that penalize the community considering that the Pef itself provides for theincrease in TARI tariffs. The President for his part specified that this is an extremely delicate issue for which the Municipality, if the PEF is not approved, risks a hole of one million euros and this would be extremely unfortunate considering that in the coming weeks the municipal coffers will have to deal with an off-balance sheet debt of another two million euros due to a similar situation in a past Administration.
Deputy Mayor Giacomo Tumbarello also spoke on the topic, explaining the reasons for the delay in presenting the PEF to the Council.
Councilor Leo Orlando, in replying, specifies that the situation is unsustainable and that for three years he has been asking for the plan of interventions carried out in the context of separate waste collection which has never been delivered to him.
To conclude the interventions before the end of the session decreed by the vice president Eleonora Milazzo, I’m Rosanna Genna who reiterates for the umpteenth time the active intervention of the Mayor for the safety issue and the Councilor Pino Ferrantelli who joins his colleague Orlando in pointing out that theMPA will not vote positively on the PEF at least for the part that concerns the increase in TARI tariffs for citizens.
