The African anticyclone returns in the next few days. More sun and rising temperatures

The African anticyclone returns and with it the warm beautiful weather on our country, but nevertheless some regions of our regions will once again have to deal with some thunderstorms.

Even though the summer season has officially started for a few days now, the atmosphere is still unable to find total and lasting stability. Albeit in alternating phases, the great heat has already been felt, but essentially in the southern regions, part of the center and the two major islands. Much less incisively in the North.
Our northern regions, in fact, continue to experience a different situation, often disturbed by wetter and more unstable winds due to a still rather strong Atlantic flow, always ready to shatter the dreams of those expecting a long-lasting phase of warm, good weather.

What will happen then in the next few days? Will we be able to count on a long warm and sunny phase for everyone or will there still be areas where it will be necessary to keep an umbrella handy?

Starting from Thursday 27 June the negative effects of a vortex of cold air at high altitude, responsible for the period of bad weather recorded since last Sunday and for the entire first part of the week, will be exhausted. Currently pressure is increasing on the Mediterranean basin and in the next few days the meteorological panorama will once again be colored by a generous sun, by hot winds rising from North Africa and by a consequent and general increase in temperaturesalso marked in the South and on Sicily.
In short, the African anticyclone will return to the scene!

However, confirming how the Summer is struggling to assert itself decisively throughout the country, during the afternoon hours they will continue to develop storm outbreaks on some stretches of the North, particularly in the Alpine sector.
But it won’t end here! Right at the turn of the weekend new storm front it will cross the northern regions, especially affecting the more western ones, and then continue its journey towards the east, bringing some notes of instability in the night between Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June also in the North-East, in particular in the reliefs and only locally in the upper Valley Po Valley.

This scenario, characterized by an evident dichotomy between the North and the South of the country, seems to be able to continue also with the beginning of next week: on Monday 1st July in fact, while the central-southern regions will be under the aegis of the African anticyclone, the North will continue to deal with a more unstable and less warm atmosphere.
Subsequently, from Tuesday 2 July, storms and a consequent drop in temperature could also extend to the Centre-South.
But in this regard, we will give you more details in our next updates.
