The gradual protection electricity service will start from 1 July, in the province of Cuneo the operator will be Hera Comm – The Guide

Starting from Monday 1st July will be Hera Comma subsidiary of the Hera Group, the new electricity manager for the approximately 53 thousand families of the province of Cuneo who have not chosen free market offers and who are therefore currently served in the market Greater protection. With the end of the protected market, these customers will automatically switch to the transitional service with Gradual Protections, which will be provided by the Hera Group. This was communicated with a press note the multiutility that won the tender called by the Single Buyer for the supply of citizens currently served by Maggior Tutela in 37 Italian provinces including, in addition to Cuneo, also the Piedmontese Novara, Asti and Alessandria.

The conditions of the Gradual Protection service

The conditions of the Gradual Protection service, the same throughout Italy, as Hera recalls, are those defined by the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment (ARERA). The main components of the energy price will be two: a first part, which will be variable, is to cover the costs of energy supply, and will derive from the average of the wholesale market prices (Single National Price – PUN). To this is added a fixed component, aimed at covering the marketing costs which, by virtue of the tender reductions, will result in savings for the customer compared to the current Greater Protection.

As regards billing, this will continue to be bimonthly.

Automatic transition and without any charge. Continuity of supply guaranteed

The transition from the current manager will be automatic, therefore without the need to sign a new contract and without any burden for citizens. Thanks to this automation, which will also concern any bank debits, the continuity of the electricity supply will be guaranteed to everyone.

For vulnerable customers, the Greater Protection remains

The arrival of the new manager will not affect customers defined as vulnerable by ARERA, for whom the Greater Protection service with the current supplier will remain active. Vulnerability is triggered with one of the following requirements: being aged 75 or over, being a beneficiary of social bonuses, having particular health conditions or a disability, residing on smaller, unconnected islands or in emergency homes following disasters.

In the next few months a desk on Cuneo. The dedicated toll-free number is already active

In the coming months Hera Comm will be present with a branch in Cuneo. In the meantime, for customers currently in Greater Protection, Hera has activated a toll-free number (800.554.000) which they can contact for any information on the transition in progress. Furthermore, a section dedicated to the end of electricity protection has been set up on the Hera Comm website
