“I just want to sleep.” They were the last words of Jessica Dalla Chiara, a 32-year-old mother and nurse, who died in her sleep due to an illness in recent days. Her husband Nadir Rossi, with whom she had been together since high school, recounted the drama she experienced since May, when Jessica was hit by the first crisis which then led to her death.

Jessica’s Husband’s Story

Last May 22nd Jessica Della Chiara was hit by a crisis for the first time. «Until then – says Nadir to Corriere della Sera – my wife had never suffered any particular health problems. For a few days, she had been feeling a little weak, weak. We assumed it was the change of season, nothing to worry about. Instead, on the night of May 22, I woke up with a start hearing her panting, breathing hard, with difficulty. I immediately understood that she was very ill, we saved her by a miracle”. After a month in the hospital, when she returned home, she was struck by another crisis. “I was next to her, I immediately followed all the prescriptions to overcome the episode. The next day, Saturday morning, I wanted to have her checked, but she couldn’t stand the hospital anymore…”

Then, after a weekend spent with her family with her parents and little daughter Aurora, Jessica passed away in her sleep. The husband, torn by pain, wanted to thank the doctors who “did everything they could”. The last farewell to the young nurse, who in addition to her husband Nadir and her little daughter Aurora, leaves her mother Loretta, her father Maurizio and her sister Rebecca, will be on Friday 28 June at 3.15pm in Verona, in the church of Maria Immacolata in via San Marco.
