Will be Andrea Bonaldo, trumpeter born in Gorizia, to open the concert calendar at Parco di San Valentino in Pordenone. On Sundays from 30 June to 1 September, the music festival returns, curated as always by the San Marco Orchestra and Choir musical association, within the green heart of the city. As the inaugural event, the poster proposes the concert of the Brass Ensemble of the Pordenone Chamber Orchestra on Sunday 30 June at 7pm, directed by Andrea Bonaldo, trumpet and concert master.

This program dedicated to the brass instruments of the orchestral group of the San Marco association will present a new project commissioned from Bonaldo, a musician and arranger with a prestigious international curriculum, who has focused his attention on some of the most famous film soundtracks written by composers such as Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Michael Kamen and others. You will therefore be able to listen to, rearranged for this particular ensemble, pages from “The Untouchables”, from the “Star Wars” saga, “Rocky”, and even from blockbuster films such as “Titanic” or “Gladiator”.

Bonaldo, born in Gorizia in 1987, concluded his trumpet studies at the “Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste with top marks and honours, perfecting his skills in Italy and abroad and collaborating with important orchestras and conductors in Italy, Spain, Poland, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, France, Vatican City, China, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.

His activity as a composer and arranger is equally intense, with works commissioned and performed by artists such as David Cooper (horn of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra), Marco Braito (first trumpet of the Rai National Symphony Orchestra), Brass Ensemble of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Brass Ensemble of the “Giuseppe Verdi” Symphony Orchestra of Milan, Brass Quintet of the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, Orquestra Filarmónica de Jalisco (Mexico), Brass of the Euyo-European United Youth Orchestra, Quarantine Quartet and many others.

In 2019 his arrangement of the Intermezzo of “Cavalleria Rusticana”, commissioned by the horns of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, became famous throughout the world with over 165 thousand views online. All concerts at Parco di San Valentino are free of charge.
