“over 25 thousand euros spent for just one evening”, criticism from FdI and Generazione Catuma

“We read from the Praetorian Notice Board of the Municipality of Andria, with determination n. 2177 of last June 20th, which for a single evening of performance of the new orchestra of Andriawhich was held on Saturday 22 June at the Villa Comunale, over 25 thousand euros were spenta figure frankly disproportionate which demonstrates first of all that this Administration, where and when it wants, is able to find economic resources which, for other more pressing issues, are instead denied. But let’s go in order: as many as 2,200 euros were spent on a social campaign to promote the evening (cost estimate sent only 10 days before the concert on 12 June, therefore on average over 200 euros per day would have been spent to advertise the evening on social media), 2,100 euros instead for the security technician (Is there a rotation of technicians in Andria? How does the choice of these figures work?). And again:

are spent almost 13 thousand euros for the performance of the 31 members of the orchestra. We don’t understand, among other things, what’s the point of spending so much money to advertise an evening, just one evening – there are also over 3 thousand euros for the advertising campaign of visibility and press various communication material – when the exhibition for the public took place on the one hand with a presumed free entry, but on the other hand with entry via official invitation, in short, giving space, and a chair , to friends of friends and to relatives of relatives. We believe that if this is the calling card of the Andria summer, it does not start with the best auspices” – so in a joint press release Sabino Napolitano (Citizen Commissioner of Fratelli d’Italia Andria) e Gaetano Scamarcio (President Generazione Catuma) who then concluded:

“We, in any case, we ask for more transparencymore clarity in the rotation of roles and more prudence in choosing the public resources to invest. Why, we ask ourselves, if over 25 thousand euros were spent for one evening, why do some councilors say they don’t have, for example, resources to cut the grass in the city? Is there differentiated autonomy in spending between one department and another even before the reform starts? We await explanations from the mayor” – concluded Napolitano and Scamarcio.
