New appointment with art at the Art Hotel Museo. On Friday 28 June, at 6.30 pm, a multi-sensory evening is scheduled with a focus on the presentation of the permanent installation of Ignazio Fresuinspired by a passage from the novel Siddhartha Of Hermann Hesse and inserted within the project Author’s Rooms and Environments from the Carlo Palli Archive. It will also be an opportunity to take stock of the project which, thanks to the collector Palli, sees the Art Hotel Museum as a “container” of contemporary art in progress.

The prelude to the evening will be the meditative concert of Tibetan bells Iuri Ricciwith the screening of a video showing the behind the scenes of Fresu’s installation, filmed by the director Stephen Cecchi. Closing the performance Eternal fragile secretconceived by Francesca Stampone – who also signs the choreography – and performed by the dancers Chiara Maria Carpi and Eleonora Valorz. Finally, guests will be invited to a meeting in the hotel spaces light dinner with lounge music poolside. The evening is curated and will be conducted by the art critic Ilaria Magni.

The Carlo Palli Archive. Carlo Palli, art dealer, gallery owner, auctioneer, patron of the arts, collector, began his business in Prato in the 1960s. He manages two seasonal galleries (in Lido Degli Estensi in summer and in Roccaraso in winter). In 1979 he took over the Metastasio Gallery in Prato, active until 1988. In those years, he participated in the most important international art fairs and, thanks to his close contact with contemporary art, he approached the world of collecting. He organizes numerous museum exhibitions, works for Farsetti Arte and directs the modern and contemporary art department of Finarte in Venice. Since then she has taken care of his collection of works and his archive full time, born in the wake of his profession. In 2006 Palli donated 200 works, and as many on loan, to the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art in Prato; another group of works and documents is currently exhibited on loan at the Museo Novecento in Florence. In 2023 at the cloister of San Domenico in Prato he was awarded the prestigious Cerreto 2023 Award, with the statuette depicting San Michele Arcangelo, in recognition of Prato’s excellence.
