FLORENCE – Maestro Puccini, on the centenary of his death, will be the protagonist of the Lucca event from 30 October to 3 November. The presentation in Florence with the long-awaited previews of Squid Game 2 and Star Wars Unlimited
‘The butterfly effect’ will be the theme of the 2024 edition of Lucca Comics and games, which will also have a tribute to Giacomo Puccini: the event, scheduled from 30 October to 3 November in Lucca, was presented in Florence. Yoshitaka Amano signs the posters of the event, creating three images: ‘Overture’ which marks the beginning of the adventure, ‘Crescendo’ with initiatives in Milan in September and ‘A fantastic finale’ on 30 October which opens the festival. Among the most anticipated events is the one linked to Squid Game 2, on October 31st: the creator, writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk and the protagonists Lee Jung-jae and Wi Ha-Jun will be in Lucca to meet the fans and to reveal to all the world some news from the second season. Celebrations also for the 25th anniversary of ‘One Piece’, on the occasion of the birthday of Monkey D. Luffy, the straw hat pirate. Golden wedding for Dungeons & Dragons with an exhibition dedicated by the municipality in the San Paolino bastion. The Tetris game will celebrate its 40th anniversary in Lucca with the participation of the creator. World premiere, from October 30th, on ‘Star Wars: Unlimited’, the collectible card game: players will be able to see the new set before everyone else. Among the expected guests, Robert Lawrence, author of ‘Goosebumps’, arrives in Italy for the first time to meet his fans. The 2024 edition will then host three foreign publishers from France, the United States and Taiwan. Naturally, there is also space for the world of manga with Atsushi Kamijo as the protagonist.
