This evening on La Piazza (Cremona1 TV, 9pm), the new mayor Andrew Virgil will talk about the first projects to be carried out, interviewed by Giovanni Palisto together with Vittore Soldo, provincial secretary of the Democratic Party, Luciano Pizzetti, Luca Zanacchi (Fare Nuova Cremona Attiva list) and Rosita Viola (Left for Cremona).
Many topics were covered, from the more purely political ones, such as the sensational announcement, anticipated yesterday by Cremonaoggi.it by Soldo regarding his desire to resign from office to start a new season for the centre-left; or like the analysis of Luciano Pizzetti, elected to the City Council on the Cremona sei Tu list, who speaks of “a city divided into three, we need to be aware that we represent the majority of minorities”, a situation which implies the need for a close dialogue with the community.
The mayor then responded to the requests of the external interlocutors, who spoke in connection representing various stakeholders: Andrea Badioni for trade, Sergio Ravelli for environmental issues in the Tamoil area; Guendalina Graffigna, professor at the Cattolica who highlighted how, to transform Cremona into a true university city, greater support of services for students from the Municipality is useful, starting with the search for accommodation and “light” accommodation facilities such as hostels, but above all encourage moments of sociality. “Otherwise – you said – the centripetal force of the big cities will always be too strong”. This is a theme on which Virgilio ensured maximum attention, as attention to young people is one of the priorities of the new administration. gb
