Usually known for his melancholic and solitary appearance, Camillo Sbarbaro (1888-1967) was actually one of the greatest writers that Liguria gave to the twentieth century, as the ever-increasing attention of critics attests. In this book, Francesco De Nicola offers readers an unpublished portrait without univocal definitions of an author who found in writing the main reason for living. Writing was for him an extension of himself, an interior and private need. Without harboring ambitions of glory, Sbarbaro actually kept himself out of the literary environment, but it was precisely this “writing to live” that made him a rare, if not unique, character in the Italian literary world of the twentieth century: completely original in living his alternating human events and in writing pages that transcend time and that, even today, are able to involve the reader.

From a man of the institutions that the institutions themselves have tried to tarnish, the truth about sixty years of Italian history, the white book of the mysteries of the Republic.
General Mario Mori has lived the history of Italy over the last forty years in key positions: he has experienced the violence of terrorism and organized crime, managing the hot months of the kidnapping of Aldo Moro and the murder by the Church, he founded the Special operational group (ROS) of the Carabinieri with which he fought the mafia in Sicily, conducted the operation that led to the arrest of the boss Totò Riina, directed the secret services, underwent a twenty-year trial from which he was finally , fully acquitted in the Supreme Court. A statesman who ended up in a judicial and media persecution that made him the Italian “Dreyfus case”. For the first time, Mori recounts in first person the main events of this journey, exposes his truth and reveals many Italian secrets: from the infiltrations in the Roman column of the BR to the slush funds of the SISDE, from the background of the fight against the Camorra and the Mafia to the perverse connections between organized crime, business and politics. Preface by Giovanni Negri.
