Novara. The SIM Carabinieri Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta met on Tuesday 25 June in Novara for an assembly between soldiers chaired by the regional general secretary Agostino Margaritora and the regional secretaries Massimiliano Pelle and Roberto Casu. During the meeting, in the report room of the Carabinieri Provincial Command of Novara, topics of great importance were discussed with the numerous participants and updates were provided on the renewal of the employment contract. Particularly appreciated was the greeting from the Commander of the Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta Legion, Gen. Antonio Di Stasio, who was visiting the Provincial at the same time and who went to the room to greet those present, who underlined the importance of trade union associations in improving the working conditions of the Carabinieri. It was also the opportunity for a final greeting from the regional secretariat SIM CC Piedmont Valle d’Aosta to the Commander of the Legion, as on the same day a document signed by the trade unions of the Force was published, which expresses the decision not to participate in some meetings until some interpretations regarding the current legislation have been clarified by the General Staff of the Army and the Ministry of Defense. A document in which the signatory trade union associations have proclaimed the state of agitation for which they will no longer participate in any meeting of the General Command, deserting the meetings called by the Trade Union Relations Office and the Economic Treatment Office, also with regard to the delicate matters relating to the renewal contractual and the FESI, within which the APCSM entities will interface directly with the “Public Function”, presenting joint proposals and thus avoiding any type of confrontation with the General Command. The SIM Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta, in compliance with the national secretariat, has decided to follow this line and not participate in some meetings at local level pending further developments and clarifications regarding the current situation.
