Udine was the scene of a dramatic episode that shook the entire regional community. Shimpei Tominagaa Japanese entrepreneur residing in the Friulian capital, is died after a few days of agony following aaggression which occurred while he was trying to break up a fight in the city centre. This episode of reckless violence has put the need for greater safety and prevention under the spotlight.
The condolences of governor Massimiliano Fedriga
The Governor of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, Massimiliano Fedrigahe expressed his opinion deepest condolencesextending it on behalf of the entire Regional Council and the community. Fedriga defined the Tominaga’s death “unacceptable” and called for justice to be done as soon as possible, stressing the importance of respect the pain of family members and to prevent Udine from being associated with such episodes of violence.
The request for greater intervention by the institutions
Fedriga has launched an appeal to institutions so that intervene decisively to prevent similar tragedies in the future. The governor highlighted the need to make the authorities’ voice heard loudly and to take concrete actions to guarantee safety in the cities and towns of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Prevention and surveillance of the territory
Territorial security is a priority for the Regional Council. Fedriga assured that it will continue to provide support and tools to increase vigilance, with the aim of maintaining the cities and towns of Friuli-Venezia Giulia as safe and welcoming places. Prevention it is the key to preventing similar episodes from happening again in the future.
