Grosseto. Closing with a bang for the second edition of “Great summer”which brings to the stage in Piazza Dante, Thursday 27 June, at 9.30 pm, the sympathy of Dario Ballantini with his “Rock live show”. A show that will surprise those present, with the many characters played by the artist and above all with his skills as a musician and which will officially close the second edition of the summer event promoted by the tourism department of the Municipality of Grosseto, organized by M.Arte aps and supported by Conad, main sponsor of the initiative.
The show
The Italian quick-change artist, comedian and painter takes to the stage of the Maremma capital with a unique show, full of music, transformism and gags, porting the characters and sketches that made him loved by the general public. Alongside him will be an exceptional band that will accompany his performances, reviving the most iconic pieces of other great Italian artists and which will make more people discover Ballantini’s musical side and talent, even in this field.
Artist from Livorno, genius of cabaret and transformism, Dario Ballantini celebrates this year 40 years of career, after having performed in the theater, on TV and on the radio. He entered “Striscia la Notizia” in 1994 as a magician of transformism, after having won the competition for young talents four years earlier with imitations of Dario Fo, Vasco Rossi and Ray Charles. In the imitations he takes on the role of the most disparate characters, always managing to find the funniest interpretation, as well as an impressive resemblance.
He arrived on TV in 1983 on Corrado’s show “Ciao Gente”, and then moved on to “Pronto Raffaella?” on Rai Uno, “Tandem” on Rai Due and “Incrocia lafortuna” on Antenna 3, always together with classmate Stefano Ceselli. He also acts in the TV series “Voci notturne” on Rai Uno and in the fiction “Carabinieri” and “Un Doctor Almost Perfect”, on Canale 5. Since last May he has been on air on Raiplay with the show “Ballantini&Petrolini”. The television career is also accompanied by a cinematographic one, with many appearances, including that in “The Fish in Love”, by Leonardo Pieraccioni, or that in “Manuale d’amore 3”, by Giovanni Veronesi, or even in “I delitti del Glimmer” by Roan Johnson.
The evening is free and open to entryuntil the maximum capacity allowed is reached. On the occasion of the event, they will be open until 11pm the city museums of the Municipality and of the Grosseto Cultura Foundation (Museo archeologico e d’arte della Maremma, Polo Clarisse, Museo di storia naturale della Maremma) and, thanks to the collaboration of the trade associations Ascom Confcommercio, Confesercenti, Confartigianato, Cna and the Centro commerciale naturale, various initiatives will be held, including “Ristorando” and “Great summer at the table”: extraordinary opening of shops, special menus and offers in restaurants and clubs.
