On the afternoon of June 21, the Rimini State Police reported a foreign citizen for the crime of theft. The episode occurred around 7:30 pm at the “Le Befane” Shopping Center.
The story began when a State Police squad car was called to intervene at the shopping center following a report of the theft of an electric bicycle. The vehicle belonged to a rider who had temporarily left it inside the commercial area to make a delivery.
The officers, having arrived on site, went to the “Control room” of the Surveillance Institute inside the shopping center to view the recordings of the security cameras. From the images, it emerged that a young man had approached the electric bicycle and, after a few moments, had transported it outside the centre.
Thanks to the recognition of the young man, already known to the police, the police immediately sent the searches to the patrols on duty to control the territory. The perpetrator of the theft was identified in the Miramare area with the electric bicycle still in his possession. The vehicle was promptly returned to its rightful owner.
In light of the facts, the foreign citizen was reported in a state of freedom for the crime of theft. Furthermore, the procedure for expulsion from the national territory has been initiated against him.
