«I coached the Under 15s of Padova, I also think I achieved excellent results. But it wasn’t enough for my reconfirmation, as they sent me away: I was stunned. How did they communicate this to me? I was disappointed, because I believe I have brought important results in recent years between a championship with the Under 15s and many young talents: honestly, I didn’t expect a similar epilogue. For me Padua is everything, I have dedicated years of my life to these colours. Who told me this? Carlo Sabatini, the head of the youth sector of Calcio Padova. Why does Padova continue to fail in promotion? There are many components. It’s not an easy environment, then a series of circumstances added up, some of which are difficult to predict: we lost two consecutive playoff finals, it’s like jumping from the fifth floor. Environment in fibrillation? At the last amarcord event we held at Appiani I talked about it with the guys from the curve: they explained their reasons to me, and I took note of them, but I told them to think again.
