Abruzzo – With the start of summer, come back on time scientific-popular publication dedicated to the activities of conservation for the Marsican brown bear carried out by National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. Arrived at ninth editionThe Bear Report substantiates the Park’s commitment to transparent, clear and accessible public communication, around a topic of increasingly strong interest for public opinion: the conservation of the Marsican brown bear.
In describing the complexities linked to this theme, the Bear Report “crosses” the processesthe performed activitiesi data collected ei results obtained from the various Park Services which, by expertise, work for the protection and conservation of this splendid animal.
From the Surveillance Service to scientific monitoring, from the activities of prevention to the activities of communication up to those of environmental education: the Bear Report is, in fact, the story of 365 days of passion, commitment and professionalism.
As always, the first part is dedicated to the activities carried out by the PNALM, while in the second part you can find the contributions from other Protected Areasthe Regions, the Forestry Carabinieri, the research institutes and the environmental associations involved in the protection of the bear.
A joint work dedicated to the dissemination of conservation culture and to the “dissemination”, in the central Apennines, of good coexistence practicesto guarantee a future for our Marsican brown bear: an emblematic and unique species that has always “lived” in our identity.
This year, with a view to reducing the ecological footprint, we have decided to considerably reduce the number of printed copieswhich will arrive in the next few days and will be available in the Visitor Centres, in favour of the digital version in pdf which we have always published on our official website!
