“Dear Foggia, I’m writing to you” is the title of the literary meeting that will be held at Palazzo Dogana on Wednesday 26 June at 6.30 pmThree authors will present their most recent literary works to the public: Giovanni Mancini and Domenico Carella with “Giovanni Mancini, my life in three acts,” Gioacchino Rosa Rosa with “Floris and the mystery of Paoloni’s elbow grease,” and Lino Zingarelli with “Tutto il male che fai.” Entrance is free.
“Giovanni Mancini, my life in three acts” (Mitico Channel, 2024). The famous Foggia actor Giovanni Mancini tells his story in an autobiography that takes the form of a literary one-man show, enriched with glimpses of his Foggia and stories of his people.
“Floris and the mystery of Paoloni’s elbow grease” (Youcanprint, 2024). Floris is the code name of a SISMI agent who, due to a simple mistake, puts the lives of numerous undercover colleagues in the Middle East at risk. This mistake marks the beginning of an unstoppable decline for Floris, who accepts any assignment to survive. Years later, now fat and aged, he decides to take his own life. But just as he is about to carry out his plan, he meets Cavalier Paoloni, producer of the mysterious “Paoloni Elbow Oil, good on the table, excellent in engines,” who offers him an opportunity to redeem himself. Floris doesn’t know that his real troubles have just begun.
