Lorenza Gentile presents ‘All the beauty that awaits us’

The summer version of ‘Fuori gli Autori’, the exhibition organized by the ‘la Magna Capitana’ library of Foggia together with the Ubik bookshop, continues on Monday 1 July at 6.30 pm in the courtyard of the Natural History Museum of Foggia. Lorenza Gentile will present her latest novel, ‘All the beauty that awaits us’ (Feltrinelli, 2024). Entrance is free while places last. A copy signing session will follow.

In the novel, Selene, after having spent thirty years without finding her way, questions herself about her choices and the consequences these have had on her life.. After a professional failure and a series of impulsive decisions, she decides to return to her childhood village in Puglia. There, surrounded by the affection of her family and friends, Selene tries to find herself and the meaning of her existence.

However, an unexpected event during the journey forces her to stop along the way. With the help of Amanda, an old red Fiat Uno full of personality, Selene embarks on a journey that will take her to the ashram where she spent her childhood. Along the way, she reconnects with her old nanny Flora, makes new friends and cares for Virgilio, a lonely donkey who becomes a special traveling companion.

Between trips to Salento, yoga lessons, reflections on life and moments spent in the kitchen with those who know her better than she knows herself, Selene begins to understand that by getting lost and making mistakes you can find the courage to pursue your dreams.
