One million views for Sognando Cortona

Wednesday 26 June 2024 – 1.15pm

The advertising campaign that the municipal administration implemented on the Meta platforms, through the «Visit Cortona» accounts, has ended. The performances obtained demonstrate the efficiency in the use of resources. If on a global level the average “CPC” cost per click in 2023 stood at 0.72 cents, that of “Sognando Cortona” was 0.09. An even lower cost, a sign that the advertising campaign, with the same investment compared to another, he performed eight times above average. The activity was entirely “homemade”, thanks to the use of video images recorded during the most important initiatives and the multimedia kit commissioned in 2019 by the municipal administration.

«It is certain that such a result is thanks to the beauty of Cortona and its territory – declares the mayor Luciano Meoni – we must recognize that we must then put these values to good use and we have been able to do so. I would like to thank all the productive and tourist-accommodation activities that have accepted our appeal and signed up for free on the CortonaEventi.it platform.”

Restaurants, clubs, farmhouses and B&Bs have in fact guaranteed themselves a place connected to the landing page of the Instagram and Facebook campaign. The operation was
shared by the mayor with the departments of Productive Activities and Tourism of the first administration led by Luciano Meoni and saw the collaboration of Confcommercio and Confesercenti to facilitate awareness of the opportunity among the various operators.

The campaign based on an «all the best» video which collects the most attractive images and experiences of Cortona and its territory, has recorded over a million views and has been oriented towards an Italian public of the large northern urban centers connected to Cortona with the Frecciarossa train.
