At the time the San Raffaele youth coach, it was in that period that he met the girl and her sister. During an evening spent with both of them, he allegedly attempted an approach towards the young woman. She reported the episode to the police and reported it.
The coach had a brilliant basketball career behind him. For years he coached Pallacanestro Ottavia, where he won several youth titles, and since 2007 he coached the youth team of Virtus Roma for six years, where he won seven regional titles and participated in five finals at national level. He later became head coach of the Malta national youth teams, with whom he won the gold medal at the Under 16 European Championships in 2014 and the bronze medal in 2015. Returning to Italy, he became manager of the youth sector of Virtus Roma and then moved to San Raffaele, where he won four championships and participated in two national finals.
