The municipal administration has invested to take charge of the work at Porta Elisa, the CEO Ray Lo Faso has ratified the location of the summer retreat, the sports director has burned out his cell phone contacting dozens and dozens of agents to try to bring home the first or second choices indicated by the coach. There are still many knots and question marks in view of the start of next season. When will the medical staff be announced? Who will be the team manager? Is there already the name of a scout to replace Claudio Ferrarese who has moved to the role of sports director?
Work at the stadium
Work began yesterday morning on the resurfacing of the turf of the Porta Elisa stadium. This intervention, entrusted to the HTS company, aims to guarantee a high-quality playing field for the next football season. HTS, a company renowned in the sector and already responsible for the resurfacing of the turf of the stadiums in Empoli, Catanzaro and Cosenza, will conduct the intervention in three different phases. The first phase will involve the total removal of the old turf. Subsequently, a layer of silica sand will be applied to improve the drainage of the field, facilitate the establishment of new sowings and the regeneration of the turf. Finally, the planting of the new surface will be carried out. The works will be completed in time for the start of the championship, ensuring that the pitch is fully operational for the 2024-2025 sports season. The club issued a note in which «La Lucchese 1905 thanks the municipal administration of Lucca for taking charge of the turf renovation work».
Still at Ciocco
As announced in recent days, the summer retreat in view of the 2024-2025 sports season will be held at the Il Ciocco hotel complex in Castelvecchio Pascoli starting from Monday 15 July until Thursday 25 July. Ten days during which there is the intention to organize a friendly match open to the public (day, time and opponent are being defined). «Il Ciocco represents the ideal location for our summer retreat – explains the Rossoneri CEO, Ray Lo Faso. – Last year we had a very good time and we are sure that it is the ideal place to best prepare for the start of the season.” And he is counterbalanced by the CEO of Il Ciocco, Andrea Barbuti: «We are particularly happy to be able to welcome the retreat of Lucchese 1905 again this year and we thank them for their renewed trust. It is an excellent signal from various points of view, including that of the strong synergy between two entities in the province of Lucca which both aim for development and growth objectives.”

Tomorrow should be the day of Edoardo Antoni, 24 years old, left back from Lucca, who has played for Tau Calcio in the last four seasons. The sporting director Claudio Ferrarese – who was busy on the phone all day trying to get things right with the agents and players – is intent on closing, thus carrying out the first transfer transaction of his management.
