Viterbo – They break down the door of a hair salon, taking away cash and a PC. It happened yesterday morning at dawn in the business of Francesco Assettati of the Shape Salon in via Garbini. The police are on site.

“Around 9.15 – says Assettati – I arrived at the shop and found the door open and broken, forced open by something similar to a crowbar that had been left outside. The camera caught everything.”

A man entered the shop at dawn. “He came in right at 5.01 so he probably started forcing the door around 4.30/4.45. It can be easily opened but he still spent a few minutes there” continues the owner of the salon.

The images captured by the cameras show the man entering the shop and hastily running to the counter. The alarm can be heard ringing in the background, but the man hurries up, looking nervously at the door several times: he grabs the PC, some cash and goes out.

As soon as he is outside – the cameras film those moments through one of the mirrors in the living room – he bends towards a bag, perhaps to put the loot inside, and then disappears.

“He took away around a hundred euros in cash and a PC, a dark gray HP – explains Assettati -. He went in, went around the cash register, took the PC and money and went out leaving the door half open”.

The greatest economic damage suffered mainly concerns the entrance to the shop.

“It’s not so much the damage from the theft which is quite negligible anyway – underlines Assettati – but all the damage caused to the shop window and the door. The figure is around 3/4 thousand euros.”

And beyond this there is also the fear and emotional damage endured by Francesco Assettati. “Crime has spread in Viterbo – he adds -, a person can no longer feel at ease, neither for their business, nor for their home or for their children because in any case I have a family, a small daughter and you don’t know if these people now they targeted you and they even come to your house, to see where you live, that’s why we worry, above all. Let’s hope they can find him.”

The police and the forensic police were on site at 9.40 yesterday morning to take fingerprints. Investigations are underway.
