“Our next objective is aimed at the Jubilee of Journalists which will take place in Rome from 24 to 26 January 2025, the event will see the participation of journalists from all over the world and we must prepare to participate to give the right emphasis to the event and the Jubilee”. This was declared by Domenico Interdonato, president of UCSI Sicily during the opening of the regional council which took place in person and via webinar, in the headquarters of the historic Ucsi group from Acea”.
In addition to President Interdonato, the ecclesiastical consultant Ucsi Sicilia Don Giuseppe Longo, the regional secretary Ucsi Laura Simoncini, who is also provincial president of Messina, the regional treasurer of Ucsi Angelo Di Tommaso, the regional councilors Santina Folisi, Sandro Cuzari, Vincenzo Caruso and Salvatore Pappalardo and the provincial presidents of Palermo, Caltanissetta and Patti, respectively Michelangelo Nasca, Fiorella Falci and Domenico Pantaleo who is also National Councilor. Present at the meeting were the national secretary Salvatore Di Salvo, who is also Treasurer of the Order of Journalists of Sicily, the Ucsi national councilor Gaetano Rizzo and the president of the National Ucsi Board of Guarantors Antonio Foti. President Interdonato gave the floor to Don Giuseppe Longo who focused on the truth, listening and participation, journalists must operate with humility, respect, calm and sincerity, reflecting on the difference of opinions which must never affect esteem and mutual love.”
President Interdonato commented on the activities carried out and the upcoming ones which will lead to new elections by 2025, concluding with the recent participation in the National Council held in May in Rome. The national secretary Salvatore Di Salvo then illustrated the work carried out by the council and the national council and the future commitments, starting with the Jubilee and followed by the national congress.
