Empoli completes the revolution regarding its youth sector. After the decentralization project of the men’s team, with Monteboro’s technicians going to work directly on the pitches of the various affiliated teams, the Italian club has now entered into an important collaboration with Zenith Prato for the women’s team.

Starting from next season, Empoli will entrust the management of the ‘pink’ youth academy to the Prato association, already affiliated with the Empoli Academy, under the name of Zenith Empoli. The various groups, from the first Regional Promotion team to the Under 10s, passing through the Under 19s, Under 17s, Under 15s and Under 12s (over one hundred girls involved), will wear the blue shirt and will train and play between the Bruno Chiavacci sports center and the Pier Cironi stadium, both in Prato. “An agreement that involves the women’s sector and strengthens an important partnership – comments Filippo Lupi, head of the Empoli Academy –. We have been working with Zenith Prato at the men’s level for years with extraordinary results and we are sure that we will repeat all this with the women’s sector. We will travel together, we will give our contribution from every point of view, from the technical and methodological one to the management and development one: it will be our task to discuss with the technical staff, support them in their daily work, collaborating and enthusiastically sharing the common values. It will be one great opportunity for growth for everyone, with the girls who will be able to make a journey from the youth sector to the first team. We are certain that they will be able to carry our colors high and represent them with pride.”

The president of Zenith Prato, Carmine Valentini, is extremely satisfied with this new agreement with Empoli. “I am proud of this further step forward for our company – declared the top Amaranth manager –. I thank President Corsi’s company for joining us and supporting us in this project, strengthening a collaboration that has been going on for years and which has led us to be one of the Elite Centers of the Tuscany Region. Furthermore, this occasion makes us proud of what we have done in recent years in the women’s sector: we are working with our collaborators on setting up the first team and strengthening the other categories. It will be an honor for us to wear the shirt of Empoli and we hope that this synergy will lead us to be one of the points of reference in Tuscany also for the women’s sector”.
