Pescara, 17-year-old Christopher killed for honor. “He disrespected me”

«Did you see how we reduced it?». The baby murderers of Thomas Christopher Luciani, still 17 years old, were laughing out loud as they bathed in a bathhouse together with the rest of their group. Not even an hour has passed since the two, later arrested on charges of aggravated voluntary manslaughter, left the body of the young man who had been stabbed to death in the undergrowth of a railway underpass behind the Pescara park.

In the arrest warrant, the prosecutor emphasizes the absolute lack of empathy of the two minors, their total lack of humanity. And no repentance. The first interrogation reveals shocking details. The first to stab the boy 15 times has a credit of just over 200 euros with him for some unpaid stuff, hashish. For the baby pusher, it’s a question of honor. “He was disrespectful to me, he had to pay,” he explains to the investigators. The other 16-year-old arrested didn’t even know Thomas, never seen him before. Despite this, when the boy was already on the ground, he picked up the diving knife and stabbed him ten more times. “Why hit him if he had no reason to?”, the magistrate asks the witnesses. “Because they are friends, he did it out of solidarity.” Unfortunately, it’s not over. According to the coroner, the two put out a cigarette in his face and continued to attack the body. “We spat on him and kicked him.” A witness told the police station that the boy was also hit with a stick, an iron club. “Christopher kept moaning, making a sound like death, and they told him to shut up. I was shocked, I wanted to stop them but it seemed like they were losing their minds,” one of the boys who witnessed the murder on Sunday wrote on the record.

Murderers from good families, 16 year old high schoolers and drug dealers. One son of a well-known lawyer from the Adriatic town, the other of the commander of a carabinieri station in the province, the suspects were transferred to restrictive facilities for minors in L’Aquila and Rome. A story of drugs and weapons between kids that ended as it could only end in a Brazilian favela, at least until the other evening. A shock for the police officers themselves, the flying and scientific squad, who framed them after a quick investigation. Meanwhile, the search for the murder weapon, thrown into the water by the two killers, by fire brigade divers continues.

An unfortunate boy Thomas, a life forever marked by the abandonment of his parents, in Tirana, Albania, at the age of three. Adopted by his grandmother who lives in Italy, he is certainly a difficult teenager, so much so that he is followed by the social services of the town where he lives, Rosciano. Last November he ran away from home, alarming his family and the prefecture of Pescara. They look for him everywhere, especially in Chieti Scalo, an area frequented by drug dealers and which Thomas has been frequenting for months. Instead he is found in Pescara, he is fine and everything seems to be fine. A few weeks later the 16-year-old was convicted of possession of narcotic substances.

The judge for minors entrusts him to a community in Isernia where he should have attended a hairdressing school. On Friday, 48 hours before the slaughter, Thomas lost track of him again. Two days in disarray, then the cursed encounter with his killers.
