Good news regarding the world of social to Turin: thanks to Poverty FundIndeed, available to the City in 2024 – in addition to those already allocated – there will be 9 million euros more coming from the European Social Fund, the Pon Inclusione and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.

The areas of intervention

The Fund was illustrated bycouncilor for welfare, rights and equal opportunities Jacopo Rosatelli last Wednesday, during a session of the 4th Commission. The resources will be used in various areas such as support for families in conditions of social emergency and adults in difficulty, with a focus on homeless people, home care, parenting support, family and cultural mediation services and useful projects for the community intended for recipients of the Inclusion Allowance (former citizenship income, ed.).

Particular attention will also be given to training, with internships and work sites aimed at social inclusion, autonomy and rehabilitation, with socio-educational support and support in managing expenses and the family budget.

The “care leavers”

Added to these areas is that of the so-called “care leavers”
young people who at the age of 18 live outside their family of origin following a provision from the judicial authority: a study or professional training course can be opened for them with job placement accompanied by a tutor.
