Three trucks collide along the Turin-Milan road: traffic at a standstill
Crash between three heavy vehicles and traffic jam along the Turin-Milan road. It happened this afternoon, Tuesday 25 June, around 2.20pm on the A4 motorway towards Milan, in the municipality of Borgo D’Ale. Here there was a collision between three trucks.
The vehicles got stuck and completely blocked the road. The accident also injured the three drivers, one of whom was blocked by the sheet metal inside the truck.

The intervention of the firefighters
The firefighters intervened and took steps, in collaboration with the medical staff, to extract the injured driver who was stuck between the sheets of the passenger compartment destroyed by the impact. The man was later airlifted to hospital. The other two drivers were also rescued and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Numerous vehicles intervened to provide assistance and secure the area, including the firefighters’ teams from Livorno Ferraris, Santhià, Torino Stura and a team with a crane from Turin. Also on site were health workers, traffic police and traffic personnel.
Inconveniences and queues for cars passing towards Milan. The situation returned to normal only in the late afternoon.
