memory of Enrico Berlinguer in Gianfranco Nappi’s volume, presentation – Dentro Salerno

40 years after its demise, the association Memory In Motion And InfinitiWorlds in presenting Gianfranco Nappi’s volume “Enrico Berlinguer. Naples 19 September 1976, 3 June 1984” published by InfinitiMondi will reflect and discuss, avoiding nostalgia and/or attempts at “sanctification”, on what and why, historically speaking, that era still arouses discussions. The figure of Enrico Berlinguer himself is still a “source” of reflections and is at the same time the object of attempts at political appropriation.

There is no doubt about his political and moral stature. There is no doubt that Berlinguer, together with many others, marked that historical period. But 40 years after his death, what remains, if anything, of his thoughts? Why do we still notice youthful interest in him and other historical figures of that period today? What makes it more interesting? Therefore a critical, objective, historical and in-depth discussion of his originality as a political thought and as a reference figure for an important part of Italian society of that period.

Thursday 27 June at 6.00 pm at the Volunteer House Via F. Patella (crossroad from C/so V. Emanuele between numbers 88 and 90) Salerno they will discuss and compare themselves with the author Gianfranco Nappi, Mary Abbondanza, Giuseppe D’Angelo, Ernesto Scelza, Titti Santulli .
