Terni: Police expels young Gambian for being socially dangerous

The State Police proceeded with the expulsion, due to social danger, of a young Gambian, who was accompanied to the Permanence and Repatriation Center of Ponte Galeria (Rome).

Following the constant examination of the documents carried out by the 3rd Section of the Immigration Office of the Terni Police Headquarters, the 25-year-old was found to be the recipient of a previous order of removal from the national territory, an order which he had never complied with, therefore his request for renewal of the residence permit, followed by the refusal of the permit and immediate expulsion from Italy with forced accompaniment.

The agents of the Immigration Office of the State Police have ascertained the social danger of the Gambian, who arrived in our country in 2016, has collected a series of complaints and convictions for various crimes: drug dealing, threats against a Guard officer of Finance, violation of the residence ban, tax evasion, resistance to a Public Official, ban on returning to Terni, crimes committed in various parts of the National Territory.

Having always been unemployed, despite living with a brother who was perfectly integrated with his family, the young man continued to commit crimes, continuing to submit requests for international protection, after receiving an initial refusal from the Territorial Commission for the Recognition of Humanitarian Protection, failing to appear to scheduled appointments, only to delay his departure from Italy.

In recent days, the policemen from the Terni police station accompanied him to the CPR while waiting for the first flight to his country of origin.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 66 expulsions notified by the Immigration Office, of which 14 were accompanied by CPRs
