Confcommercio Modena awarded six Modenese excellences

The annual assembly of Confcommercio Modena took place last week and saw six associated companies as protagonists: six stories of passion, vision and dedication, six entrepreneurs who have been able to shape talent, transforming it into added value for the economic fabric of Modena, becoming its emblems absolutes. It was previewed during the evening The tourist of excellence, a short film made by the Modena-based production company Scirocco Barocco Creation and dedicated to the six businesses, whose owners were leading actors. Three of the companies are based in Carpi: the “Macelleria Papotti”, the multistore “Gilioli 1921” and the clothing store “Sir Andrew’s”. One in Montale, the “Europa 92” restaurant and two in Vignola: “Tassi Sport” and “Class 115”.

To the owners – Orietta Barbieri and Roberto Papotti of the Papotti butcher shop, Giorgio and Daniele Gilioli of Gilioli 1921, Neris Pedrazzi, Andrea and Marco Solieri of Sir Andrew’s, Gianluca Clò of the Europa 92 restaurant, Massimo Tassi of Tassi Sport and Davide Manni of Class 115 – a plaque was then presented, a recognition contained in the words of Thomas LeonePresident of the Association: “we wanted to “reward” stories of resourcefulness, passion and vision that we are proud to represent and that we intend to defend. They have contributed to strengthening the economic fabric of Modena, making this land unique and famous in the world“.

The plaques were also delivered to Argia and Giorgio, owners of the Da Enzo Restaurant, a historic Modena business that has become a symbol of the food and wine excellence of our territory and to Maria Carafoli, director of Modenamoremio for over 12 years. Confcommercio wished to express its gratitude to her for the work carried out towards the activities of the historic center with the following words, reported on the plaque delivered: “To Maria Carafoli who, thanks to her love for her city, an inexhaustible visionary tension, a charismatic strength and a precious ability to work as a team, was able to give a turning point to the promotion of the historic centre, contributing decisively to make Modena an increasingly lively, beautiful and attractive city”.
