Accor one announced new partnerships with EGA- Emiliana Grandi Alberghi for the signing of a franchise agreement that will bring upon opening of the Mercure Reggio Calabria within mid-2026.
EGA is a division of the Monrif SpA Group, which operates in various sectors: publishing, advertising, new media and hospitality. With the Monrif Hotels brand, EGA currently manages three hotels in the center of Bologna, standing out for its personalized and high-quality service. With the signing of the franchising agreement, Accor confirms its commitment to the expansion of the Midscale portfolio.
Located at the end of Corso Garibaldi, the main artery of the historic center, the new hotel has a strategic position, just 10 minutes from the airport, allowing easy access to the main points of interest, including the train station, the Palace of Justice and the Granillo Stadium, as well as being surrounded by the most exclusive shops in Reggio.
The Mercure Reggio Calabria will be spread over five floors and will make 89 rooms available to travellers, divided into different types to satisfy every need: Suites, Junior Suites /Family Room, Premium and Standard. The hotel’s proposal will also include a conference center with capacity for up to 200 people, a wellness center with a suggestive salt room, a rooftop with swimming pool also open to residents, a lounge area with bar service and a restaurant on the first floor featuring from a splendid terrace.
