At the electoral office, which is located on the first floor of the building that houses the Demographic Service in Piazza Marconi 9, signatures are being collected for a series of popular initiative bills and referendum requests.
In some cases the harvest is in the home stretch, in others it is only just beginning.

The deadline to sign four popular initiative bills expires on Sunday 30 June 2024.
The three initiatives proposed by the “Liberi in Veritate” Committee (“Right to self-produce food”, “Right to freedom of payment in cash” and “Stop gender indoctrination in schools”) were announced in the Official Journal no. 274 of 11-23-2023; the initiative “Right to life, maternity income, support for the suffering”, promoted by the “A signature for life” Committee, was announced in the Official Journal no. 302 of 12-29-2023.

However, the collection of subscriptions for the popular initiative bill “Elimination of 500 billion in waste and bad politics” began a few weeks ago.
The proposal, promoted by the “We are United – Together we count” Committee, was announced in the Official Journal no. 95 of 04-23-2024: the collection of signatures will continue until November.
Until 5 September, it is then possible to sign the four requests for a repeal referendum and the popular initiative law proposal promoted by the “Referendum Committee for Representation”.

The four questions, announced in the Official Journal no. 96 of 04-24-2024, are related to the partial repeal of the current electoral laws for the House and Senate: “Repeal of joint voting between single-member candidates and multi-member lists” (question 1), “No access thresholds for autonomous lists and coalitions (question 2), “All parties, even those in Parliament, must collect signatures for candidatures” (question 3), “Abolition of multiple nominations: each candidate in a single single-member and/or multi-member constituency” (question 4).

The referendum questions are accompanied by the popular initiative law proposal “Reintroduction of preferences in the multi-member constituencies of the House and Senate”, which was announced in the Official Journal no. 120 of 05/24/2024.
Signatures are collected from 8.30 to 11.30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 3 to 5.30 on Thursdays.
