The Aeb-A2A affair comes to life on Friday, at the Monza Court, with the discussion on the constitution of civil parties in the trial on the merger between the former Brianza municipal company and the energy giant, an operation carried out, according to the Monza Prosecutor’s Office, “solely order to favor the company A2A” with an overall damage for Aeb “of no less than 60 million euros” and with “the failure to valorise a majority bonus in favor of Aeb of no less than 5.7 million”. The hearing resumes after a long postponement due to the failure to notify the criminal proceedings to some of the Brianza municipalities involved. For the disputed aggregation, rejected by the administrative justice system until Cassation because a public tender was needed for the selection of the private partner by a publicly controlled company, the mayor of Seregno, Alberto Rossithe councilor for subsidiaries of the Municipality of Seregno, Giuseppe Borgonovothe general secretary of the Municipality of Seregno, Alfredo Ricciardi. The investigations by the Guardia di Finanza of Seregno, coordinated by the Monza prosecutors Salvatore Bellomo and Stefania Di Tullio, refer to facts ranging from 2019 to 2020. The mayor Alberto Rossi and the councillor Borgonovo they are accused of having “supinely implemented all the indications” provided by the co-suspects, “intended to exclude the public tender”. Mayor Rossi he is also accused of having intervened “at the request of Bracchitta, at the Municipality of Bovisio Masciago, through the provincial secretary of the Democratic Party Luigi Ponti, to eliminate any reference to a public tender from the agenda of the City Council of 28 November 2019”.
