Affari&Sport conquers the Monza-Resegone with a double victory in the new Relay mode

Villasanta. The rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of the teams who celebrated the centenary of the Monza-Resegonethe classic Brianza race for which hundreds of runners compete, sweating to reach the Capanna refuge. Departure takes place fromArengario of Monza, immersed in a crowd that preludes the warm encouragement of the public along the entire route up to the Erve gate. Here, the temperature drops and the difficulty increases: the last 7 km are very steep but made fascinating by the front lights of the competitors. With a final effort, you reach Rifugio Capanna, where in a few moments you can savor the joy of arrival, change clothing and set off again, this time without haste, to enjoy the thoughts and emotions of a race with an epic flavour.

The Business&sport teams

For some, the thrill of conquering the top of Resegone at night also has the taste of victory. The athletes of the four teams registered under the Affari&Sport banner know this well, having reached the goal with great honour.

The men’s team finished fifth overall Business&Sport Team Acomposed by Mauro Civati (Team A Lombardia), Luca Civati (Athletic Club Villasanta) and Daniele Galiero (Sisport SSD), with a time of 3h48’10″. A little further away, the fearless athletes of the Monday group of Solo Un Passo Dopo l’Altro, Maurizio Bonistalli (Sport&Wellbeing Asd), Paolo Sulfur (Gamber de Cuncuress) and Ivan Zanforlini (Als Cremella), or Team B, reached the summit in 5h25’12″, placing themselves approximately in the middle of the table.

It fell to the team Business&Sport/Methalthermcomposed of members of Vertovese Mountaineering GP Philip BaAntonino Lollo and Diego Head, write a new page in the history of the Monza Resegone Relay. With a final time of 2h43’37″, the three outclassed the competition by 13 minutes.

The mixed women’s team was also first Business&Sport/Energycomposed by Francesca Malnati Manfredi (Atl. Casone Noceto), Stefano Tettamanti (Azzurra Garbagnate M.se) and his teammate Mattia Grifawho also took fifth place overall with a time of 3h01’48″.
