The search began last June 7 when the criminal enforcement office of the general prosecutor’s office of Naples issued a detention order against him. The provision sanctioned a 9-year prison sentence for mafia-type association.
Davide Tucci, a 45-year-old from Grumo Nevano, believed to be a member of the Aversano clan, operating in the municipalities of Grumo Nevano, Casandrino and surrounding areas, had remained unavailable.
Last night, after continuous and incessant investigations, the carabinieri of the operational section of the Giugliano company tracked him down and arrested him.
Stalking, web patrolling and analysis of video surveillance systems allowed the police to identify the man. The 45-year-old was caught around 9pm while traveling on the median axis near Ponte Riccio in the Varcaturo area.
The car was driven by the captor’s wife and their two minor children were also in the back seats. The weapon’s device “hooked” the family and everyone’s common sense made it possible for no one to be put in danger. Tucci did not resist and, arrested, was transferred to the Naples-Secondigliano prison.
