The OFB presents the summer program: 4 events at the Roman Theater of Benevento from June to September

The artistic production activity of the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra continues unabated, having recently concluded its tenth concert season.

A goal that fills the young musicians with enthusiasm and projects them towards even more ambitious horizons.

The first appointment of summer 2024 is for tomorrow, Tuesday 25 June, at 9.30 pm, in the evocative setting of the Roman Theatre, an iconic monument of the city of Benevento and one of the best preserved and most beautiful ancient theatres, with “Dreams are desires”.

This is a quality production inspired by the works, characters and timeless music of Walt Disney in collaboration with the BCT Festival, directed by Antonio Frascadore, narrative voice by Francesco Pannofino, voice by Diana Del Bufalo, ANIMEniacs Corp choir, Club Ginnastico di Benevento, directed by Marco Attura and with the arrangements of Alessandro Verrillo who also signs those of the next appointment on Thursday 19 July 2024, at 9.00 pm, “Lucio Dalla”: symphonic concert entrusted to the voice of Leonardo De Stasio and under the direction of Letizia Vennarini.

On Monday 2 September 2024, at 9.00 pm, “The concerts of Casa Rummo” return, for a tribute to the great Ennio Morricone: an unmissable symphonic concert which will see his Cinema Suites for violin and orchestra performed with the participation of the soloist Marco Serino and below the direction of Maestro Stefano Cucci.

An event strongly felt and desired by the Rummo pasta factory – main sponsor of the philharmonic and main promoter of the event – which will allow the public to experience an unforgettable evening, in contact with two of the musicians most humanly and professionally linked to the Italian film music composer most known and appreciated in the world who will not fail to recount life experiences lived with the Master.

To end, on Saturday 7 September 2024, at 9.00 pm, again at the Roman Theatre, Luca Aquino, one of the most appreciated Italian jazz musicians on the international scene, returns with the consolidated event “Let’s jazz”, this time focused on the music of the new album (Lunaria 2) by the trumpeter and composer from Benevento.
