The Istrian stone returns to its natural color small temple of Sant’Antonio da Padovain Piazza Tre Martiri, where restoration work is underway, which involves both the external and internal parts, in addition to the plant engineering works.

With the removal of the grouting inconsistent with the historic masonry, the first phase of the restoration was completed, which also included cleaning with a low pressure washer on all the external surfaces. A very delicate job that is progressing with great attention, even in the parts where the Istrian stone has darker crusts, which are removed using a low-pressure microsandblaster.

At the same time, some restoration works on the internal plaster and wooden window frames have already begun, after which the cleaning and micro-sandblasting operations of the lantern and the cross above the lantern will also begin. Work will then continue on the remaining internal stone parts, the vault, the frescoes, the wooden sculpture and the adaptation of the systems.

The works on the small temple have been entrusted to the company “ETRA” and will last approximately six months. The restoration work is being carried out thanks to the support of the Rimini entrepreneur Bonfiglio Mariotti which, with an “Art Bonus” contribution of 150 thousand euros, participates in a total investment of 200 thousand euros.
