“The Region has the role of promoting the program agreement which must be carried out in compliance with the ordinary rules. This does not affect the choices that Milan will have to make. I think there is concreteness on their part to move forward The determination to carry forward the program agreement is there.”

The mayor of Milan Beppe Sala took stock of the future of San Siro after the meeting which took place on Friday in the Municipality with the representatives of Inter and Milan: “This afternoon Webuild presented to Milan and Inter and to the Municipality of Milan a feasibility study for a profound renovation of the stadium of San Siro. In my opinion it is an extraordinary project and I hope that the teams will take it into serious consideration, in the knowledge that both are also working on other options years, with an absolutely acceptable reduction in the capacity of the stadium during the works.
