it closes (partially) the underpass of via Crispi

A new closure occurs in one of the busiest underpasses in the city due to urgent Amap works. This is how traffic changes in the Cala area

From the series “Sometimes they return”: in the same way we have to deal with new works (and traffic) in the underpass of via Crispi, an infrastructure that until just over a year ago was the subject of another of the city’s endless construction sites.

From today, Monday 24 June, the roadway on the mountain side of one of the busiest underpasses in the city will be closed (especially during the hours in which the restricted traffic zone is active in the historic center) to allow the execution of “urgent works” on the water network of Amap.

The Municipality’s Traffic and Mobility Office reported this by publishing a new ordinance ordering the closure of the roadway that goes from Via Piazza XIII Vittime towards Cala. You can therefore only travel on the side slip road (in the same direction). Inevitable repercussions on traffic.

The closure is triggered June 24th and the ordinance does not specify for how long, but only “until the need ceases”.

Another construction site, in short, which adds to those started in recent weeks in other areas of the city. In addition to the Corleone Bridge, where specific interventions continue in fits and starts along the roadway towards Catania, there are also various interventions started or about to begin as part of the maxi road maintenance plan drawn up by the Municipality to redo the most damaged roads in the city, from the center to the suburbs (We talked about this in one of our in-depth articles).
