It’s been 41 years since disappearance Of Emanuela Orlandi And Peter, the brother, doesn’t give up and continues to make his voice heard. He does so by once again pointing the finger at the Vatican and the Cardinal Ugo Poletti, accused of being involved in the young girl’s disappearance in June 1983.

From the sit-in organized on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of Emanuela’s disappearance, Pietro Orlandi continues his fight to discover the truth about his sister. A battle that has been going on for 41 years and which, with the Parliamentary and Vatican Commissions, he hopes will bear fruit.
And he doesn’t want to keep quiet and continues to point the finger at the church, once again bringing up the Cardinal Ugo Poletti.
“Cardinal Poletti would have been the one to manage Emanuela’s situation,” said Orlandi, underlining that his sister Emanuela knew him well and that she often spoke with him at Sant’Apollinare. An involvement, that of the ecclesiastic, which would have been confirmed by a person who would have delivered gods documents to man, sort of Emanuela’s jailer.
The background on the disappearance
And Orlandi also told some background on how Emanuela’s kidnapping might have gone, always based on the words of those who, according to him, should be summoned by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office to hear his opinion.
The man, who told Orlandi that he had been involved in his sister’s kidnapping, would in fact provide some interesting details for the investigation.

“This man told me that this situation was difficult and painful for Poletti but he couldn’t help it. He also told me everything it had been organized for more than a year” the words of Peter.
The brother of the young girl who disappeared at the age of 15, who would be 56 today, also underlined that the informant told him that “there were these”parties” in which important characters were involved and that he had the task of bringing young girls into these situations. This also happened on 22 June 1983, but Emanuela followed another path.”
“To kidnap her they used people from Magliana and Poletti was also used. They, the Vatican, were the blackmailed ones” It reaffirmed.
The new name in the case
Pietro Orlandi also mentions another name, for the first time in 41 years. Is that of Stefano Soderini, ex Nar a (revolutionary armed groups), whose voice according to the Prosecutor’s Office is that of some telephone calls from the alleged kidnappers.
“It is no coincidence that they found Poletti’s number in his personal diary. It seems that Poletti has approached them, this detail cannot be overlooked” said Orlandi, underlining that “the London lead is true, I am convinced of it”.

But it wouldn’t have ended here, because according to Orlandi his sister Emanuela was the victim of blackmail that ended badly and, after some requests had been satisfied, would have been returned.
“Not to the family because she is a direct witness of things that are too big” she underlined, accusing those who kidnapped her of not having “had the conscience to hand her over to the criminals again because there would always have been witnesses and therefore a new blackmail” .
And again the Vatican is brought into play: “Someone took charge of Emanuela on behalf of the Vatican. Even though she was still alive, they destroyed her life that day.”
