REACTION UMBERTO ARRESTED IN ROME BY THE STATE POLICE AND THE PENITENTIARY POLICE.
As a result of the intense investigative activity launched in the early afternoon of yesterday, immediately after the escape from the “Le Sughere” prison of REAZIONE Umberto, detained under the High Security regime, the aforementioned was arrested, this afternoon, at approximately 4.45 pm, on board the regional train headed to Rome Termini, near the Rome Tiburtina railway station, by the railway police. The investigative activity was conducted, on the delegation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Livorno, by the Regional Investigative Unit of the Penitentiary Police of Florence, by the Flying Squad of Livorno, by personnel of the SISCO of Florence. Personnel from the Central Operational Service of the State Police, the Lazio Railway Police Department, the Central Investigative Unit of the Penitentiary Police and personnel from the Penitentiary Police Department of the Livorno Prison and the Rome Flying Squad participated in the capture phases. Further details of the operation will be communicated in the next few hours, at the end of the judicial police activity, which is still ongoing.
