A new building completely renovated in via Zezio 57 was inaugurated in recent days by the Cooperative Society for the construction of homes for workers in Como. The mayor of Como Rapinese was also present at the ceremony with deputy Roperto and regional councilor Orsenigo.

The Mayor of Como Alessandro Rapinese underlined the importance of the work carried out by the Building Cooperative: “This is a splendid moment because today we put an end to the wait of 14 families who will be able to have a real estate unit at a price that is currently outside the downward market which protects people who do not have the possibility of paying an ordinary rent ”.
Also the regional councilor Angelo Orsenigo had words of praise for the result obtained by the Cooperativa Edificatrice: “It is an honor to be here this afternoon: today we reconfirm that the cooperative aspect has been and will continue to be the trump card for tackling some fundamental challenges. There is still a lot of work to be done on the topic of living, so what we see today is thanks to this cooperative from Como which has worked very well. The topic of housing must be at the top of the political agenda of all institutional bodies starting from the Municipality, Region, Province, State because the right to have a home at an affordable price is a fundamental right. My commitment will be to ask for further funds precisely for this destination not only for the province of Como but throughout the regional territory because if these are the results it means that we are going in the right direction and therefore we must proceed in this direction”.
