The premature death of the Apulian director Nico Cirasola, which took place 14 months ago in Rome, on 3 April 2023, left an unbridgeable void. With her films she has been able to tell stories that have almost always had Puglia as a common denominator and her Murgia as hero. With his tireless and generous activity, he has encouraged many young people to try their hand at “making cinema”.

To remember the man, the director and the artist Cirasola, Apulia Film Commission And Puglia Regional Media Library they will celebrate it with a tribute, Wednesday 26th at 7pm in Apulia Film House (Fiera del Levante, Eastern entrance), which includes the inauguration of the artistic installation dedicated to Nico Cirasola entitled “Flying fish”, created by Bunker Lab Art Of Alessandro Contessawith illustrations by Michele Tesori and created by the artist Maurizio Meo. The inauguration will be attended by Cirasola family with Luciana Cazzolla of the Board of Directors of Apulia Film Commission e Mauro Paolo BrunoDirector of the Puglia Regional Media Library.

After the ceremony, at 9pm, the screening of one of his most representative films is scheduled in the Arena of the Apulia Film House; “Smell of Rain”, introduced by the film critic Roberto Silvestri (Ansa).
