After the parade Rome last weekend, thePride wave filled the streets with nine other cities. The large demonstration in support of the rights of LGBTQIA+ people organized by Arcigay and other local and national associations was welcomed with Palermo, Ancona, Varese, Lecco, Lodi, La Spezia, Vicenza, Cosenza and Frosinone. Over 100 thousand people in the procession in Sicily, say the organizers, and thousands in the marches, where the Region (led by Fdi) did not grant patronage.

“The limit for us has already been full for a long time, yet this Melonian right strikes us daily with regurgitations of the Twenty Years and crusades of hatred”, he declared shortly before the start of the demonstrations Gabriele Piazzoni, general secretary of Arcigay. “The now former candidate for mayor of Torre del Greco, Carmine Alfano, wants us at the crematoria. Against the right of crematoriums and prisons for gays, today we filled the streets of nine cities, from North to South. Our voice is already a roar“.
