Euro Pisa: Romania of Marin and Rus defeated

Pisa midfielder Marius Marin he also started the second match of Euro 2024. This time, however, it went badly as Belgium won 2-0 over his Romania.

Decisive goals from Tielemans at the start and De Bruyne at the end. Belgium’s victory is clear and deserved. This time Marin struggled more than his debut but he didn’t disfigure himself at all. Indeed, it was he who constructed, with a nice cross for Dragus, his first scoring opportunity immediately after the team coached by Tedesco had taken the lead.

Marin was also booked for foul play and had already committed a rather clear foul previously. Iordanescu replaced him, with the score 1-0, in the 23rd minute of the second half with Olaru. La Gazzetta dello Sportin their report cards, gave Marin a 6: “Sacrifice a yellow to stop De Bruyne. Too alone in front of the defense.” Important note given that Iordanescu has abandoned the 4-3-3 and Marin definitely struggles in that role if he is too isolated.

The other Nerazzurri player from Romania, defender Adrian Rus, this time he remained on the bench. Romania remains stuck on three points in group E together with Belgium, Ukraine (winners of the second day) and Slovakia. The challenges of June 26th are decisive. Romania faces Slovakia, 6pm in Frankfurt, while the other decisive match, simultaneously in Stuttgart, is Belgium-Ukraine.
