ACERRA – Last afternoon, the agents of the Acerra police station, while passing through via Leonardo Da Vinci, ordered a scooter with two people on board to stop, the driver of which, upon seeing them, first slowed down and then accelerated and ran over the operators until it collided with a parked van.
In those circumstances, the two, after abandoning the vehicle, attempted to escape on foot but, with many difficulties, they were stopped by the police and the driver was found in possession of an “automatic brun” pistol modified with 4 cartridges, one of which was chambered, 27 sachets containing marijuana for a total weight of approximately 30 grams, a carton of hashish weighing approximately 3.5 grams and 369 euros, divided into banknotes of different denominations.
For these reasons, the suspect, identified as an 18-year-old from Acerra, was arrested for personal injury, resistance to a public official, illicit possession of narcotic substances and illegal possession of weapons and ammunition; they were also charged with two violations of the Highway Code for driving without a license and for altering the license plate since adhesive tape had been placed on the license plate of the motor vehicle on which the two were travelling; the passenger, however, identified as a 15 year old also from Acerra, was reported for resisting a Public Official.
