Monza. Ready Set Go! They left on the evening of Saturday 22 June, from the historic location in Piazza Roma in front of the Arengario, the over 900 athletes competing for the 62nd edition of the Monza-Resegonehistoric competition organized by Monzesi Mountaineers Society which celebrates its centenary this year. Many supporters lined up along Via Vittorio Emanuele II and along the entire route to encourage the participants.
Among the new features this year is the possibility to reach Monza hut in ‘mode’Relay‘, a team relay in which three athletes will take turns, covering respectively 15.3 km (from Monza to Osnago), 15.7 km (from Osnago to Olginate) and finally the 12.2 km that separate Olginate from the refuge Monzesi Mountaineers Hut. Mode that is added to the raceClassic‘ of team where the trio leaves and arrives united.

Friday 28 June, at 9.00 pm, theArengario of Monza will host instead the awards evening, an opportunity to celebrate together with all the citizens the great milestone of one hundred years of this historic competition. Competition which received the patronage of the Municipality of Monza, Municipality of Olginate, Municipality of Osnago and Municipality of Erve, and also the patronage of the Province of Monza and the Province of Lecco. The companies Monza Marathon Team, Runners Desio, GS Avis Seregno, GP Villasantese contributed to the organization of the race this year together with numerous local companies who with great generosity support the Monza Resegone.
